Verified client build

What we actually built for Katena Railings.

Katena Railings Inc., a glass railing company in Halifax, is the one client Nova Buzz Media names on this site. Everything below is what an internal audit of the live systems found, checked against the actual site, the actual logs and the actual data files, not against a pitch deck.

Last verified against katena.ca and the systems behind it on August 16, 2026.

What was installed

Four systems, built on top of what Katena already had.

Nothing here replaced Katena's team or their software. It runs on top of it, catching the work that used to depend on someone remembering to do it.

Lead capture

A website at katena.ca with an article blog and lead forms. Every form posts straight into the client’s own Microsoft 365 mailbox, no separate inbox to check.

Glass procurement watcher

Reads supplier email and turns it into purchase orders, freight records and a stock ledger, with discrepancies flagged for a human to look at instead of buried in an inbox.

Owner text alerts

The owners get a text for the events that used to require someone remembering to check, a container arriving, a drawing going stale, a deposit coming due.

Content publishing

A drip of blog articles goes out on a daily schedule, and an AI pipeline drafts social posts for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn behind a Notion approval board the client controls.

How it runs

Checking for work every five minutes, publishing every day.

The procurement watcher has run on a five minute cadence since late July 2026, reading supplier email across the owners' mailboxes and the public bid inbox and turning it into purchase orders, freight records and stock ledger entries. Discrepancies get flagged for a person to review rather than resolved silently.

The blog publishes on a daily schedule. At the last audit, 56 of a planned 185 articles had gone live, with the rest queued on a future release date rather than dumped all at once.

What it replaced

Manual tracking that depended on somebody remembering.

Before this, a purchase order or a freight update lived in whichever inbox it landed in, with a deposit deadline or a stale drawing only caught if someone happened to notice it. There was no running stock ledger and no standing alert for the moments that actually mattered to the owners.

Social posting used to be whatever got done when there was time for it. It now runs through a standing pipeline with an approval board, even though, as the honest scope below says, that pipeline still depends on Katena's team moving a post into the queue.

Honest scope

What is real today, and what is not yet.

The operations hub

Five of its views, glass orders, glass stock, bids, tasks and drawings, read live data from the procurement watcher. The rest, an overview, projects, scheduling, warehouse, contacts, invoicing and growth, are still sample data previewing where the hub is headed. They are not delivered features yet.

Social publishing

The pipeline has produced real, published posts on Instagram and Facebook. Nothing has gone out on LinkedIn yet. Posting pace depends on Katena's team approving a draft and moving it into the queue, not on the system, which checks for new work whether or not anything is waiting.

The website

The live site is English only. An earlier bilingual prototype exists on file but is not what is deployed today, and this page describes what is actually live, not the prototype.

What we will not share

We do not quote Katena's procurement figures or the retainer amount here, and we will not. Anything a visitor cannot verify independently is described in shape, not in numbers.

The pilot is free. We agree on what we're tracking before day one, and we only report what actually happens.
